Hey there! I'm Ali.

I'm glad you've found me here. I am a Canadian wedding and portrait photographer based out of the beautiful city of Thunder Bay, Ontario. I love to capture moments as I see them, not create a moment so that it can be captured. My philosophy is that there aren't any rules when it comes to photography. Want a two-hour elopement on the top of a hike in an all-black wedding gown? I'm your gal! Want the traditional big family wedding where we dance 'til 2am? I'm also your gal! My biggest goal is to capture your day's moments as they unravel - this means taking the simplest parts of your day and romanticizing them in the form of digital media. There is nothing worse (in my opinion) than a bossy photographer who takes you and your guests away from the fun of the day. I want you to be able to look at your photos in 10+ years and remember the exact feeling you felt in that moment, not that it was just "photo time."

If this is how you feel too, be sure to send me a message so we can start planning your big day!Interested in something other than wedding photography? Check out my pricing page to see what I can do for you.

Everyone is welcome here

Your skin colour matters. Your gender expression and sexual orientation matters. Your love matters. Love is love, and I will happily fight anyone who says otherwise. As long as you love each other, I’m happy to have you in front of my lens.

Doing what I can

I adore the little community that Thunder Bay and its surrounding areas has worked so hard to create. If you or someone you know is holding a not-for-profit event, or if I can donate my photography services in any way possible, feel free to reach out so we can chat more about it.

Acknowledging

I acknowledge that the lands on which I work and create traditionally belong to Indigenous Peoples. I am committed to showing my respect to the land and understanding my place within its history. To collaborate in the spirit of reconciliation, discounts are available for all First Nations, Métis and Inuit clients.

To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.

I got family photos done with Ali and I absolutely love them. Ali gave great direction and was so amazing and patient with my toddler. I can’t recommend her enough! If I need more photos in the future, I will definitely be getting her to take them.
